  • BC Joinery & Furniture has been in business since 2003. We design, manufacture and install all forms of cabinetry and joinery including kitchens, built-in bedroom cupboards (BIC’s) and bathroom vanities for residential.

    Supplying excellent products and top-notch service is the number one philosophy of BC Joinery & Furniture. We never compromise on quality. We use runners, hinges and accessories of the highest standard, and all our melamine board is A-grade, so you can be sure your kitchen or cupboards will last.

    With hands-on project management, you will never be left in the dark, ensuring your experience with BC Joinery & Furniture is always a pleasant one. During the design phase, you will receive 3D colour drawings to ensure that the end result is precisely what you’ve envisaged.

    My passion is creating functional, inspiring spaces for clients. I love the journey I embark on with clients; starting with their initial idea and transforming it into a beautiful, well-designed space.

    I began my career dabbling in architectural drafting yet yearned for a more hands-on approach. In 2003 fate lead me to the kitchen industry where I began my journey as an installer, fitting for some well-known kitchen brands in Johannesburg. And that is how BC Joinery & Furniture evolved.

    Today BC Joinery & Furniture is Cape Town based, offering high quality workmanship, professional design and skilled installation – all done with an in-house team.

  • BC Joinery & Furniture is a member of the Kitchen Specialists Association of South Africa (KSA). The KSA is the only body that exists in our industry as a mark of professional conduct and workmanship.

    1. Apply - Share your project vision with us.

    2. Initial meeting & site visit - The process of preparing a quote starts with a site visit for us to measure up and do a needs analysis.

    3. Design development - From there we formulate a design and prepare drawings. During this this process design layout often goes back and forth until you are 100% happy with the layout and the design is finalised.

    4. Finalise finishes - Once the design is finalised we meet at our showroom to discuss design and the finer details.

    5. Prepare quotation - Only once all this has been completed can a quote be formulated. Depending on the size of the project, the quote can take no less than 7 working days or more.

  • Once the quote has been approved, a 70% deposit needs to be paid in order to begin ordering materials.

    There is a 20-25 working day lead time for materials.

  • Materials are manufactured and carcasses are assembled at our factory and delivered to site assembled.

  • Installation dates can only be given 5 working days after acceptance of the quote. An average sized kitchen installation normally takes around 5 days to install.

  • On the second or third day the kitchen is ready for countertop measurements/templates. A further 7-10 working days later countertops are installed.

  • Completion of work and sign off.

    The entire process, from the payment of the deposit to the finished kitchen takes approximately 6 weeks. Bedroom cupboards and other joinery take slightly less.

FAQs

  • We are Cape town based but do projects as far afield as Franschhoek and Hermanus.

  • We offer a two-year product and workmanship guarantee.

    Blum and GRASS hardware (hinges and runners etc.) carry a kitchen lifetime guarantee (approx. 25 years).

  • 70% deposit

    20% payment on delivery of carcasses to site

    Final 10% on completion of the work and sign-off.

    There are so many variables which determine how much a kitchen will cost. It is impossible to give a quotation value without a needs assessment, design approval and finalisation of finishes.
